About us
In 2025, 24% of Canadians were food insecure (PROOF, 2025). University students are disproportionately affected at 56.9%, and that number increases significantly for international students (82%) (Meal Exchange, 2021). At the same time, our food system that relies on cheap labour and industrial scale is in crisis while food prices keep climbing and local consumers and producers have little say.
We promote sustainability, food sovereignty, and local campus connection with our collective kitchen model. By cooking as a team, we ensure nutritious, cheap, and efficient meals for every student here, while building important skills, making sure you have a voice in what we are making and contributing to student food sovereignty on campus.
